The country’s education department has a firewall in place to apparently automatically block or hinder organization members (such as teachers) from accessing certain websites for good reasons.
This firewall serves to protect employees and clienteles.
Our website, morn.blog, remains committed to helping all educators and students in the country triumph. We have written articles on various topics to make you accomplish your goals in life thru helping you learn best.
This April 20, 2025, however, a pretty sad news took place. morn.blog seemingly was inaccessible on DepEd laptops – Edge Browser and other browsers on the government agency provided laptops.
An error shows an IT administrator blocked employees from accessing our website – though unsure if it was an automatic thru algorithm in place or manual by an employee, we hope that it will be unblocked soon.
While hoping for better news in the coming days, here’s a workaround on how to access morn.blog on DepEd laptop. Note that you have to these steps first before you can access the blogsite.
Table of Contents
Step 1: System Tray
Go to the System Tray. In the System Tray, click the Up Arrow to expand the menu. Then, click the Windows Defender icon (shield like).

A screen like this one should appear.

Step 2: Browser Control
Click the App & browser control from the left-hand pane. Then, click the Reputation-based protection settings link.

Step 3: Turn Off SmartScreen
Find the SmartScreen for Microsoft Edge. Toggle to turn it off.

Step 4: Enjoy morn.blog
Now, go back to your Microsoft Edge browser and enjoy browsing the awesome contents on morn.blog
Note: We’re still looking for a way for you to access morn.blog via other browsers such as Brave on DepEd laptops.
