DepEd Teacher Gorgeously Sports 7 Year Streak in Having Perfect School Attendance
An educator, working under the Philippine education department, has proudly shared on social media that she succeeded in having perfect school attendance for the entire year, and what’s even more commendable is that she has been doing it for seven straight years.

Meet Teacher Mabelle
Teacher Mabelle Hermano Apuada, a Junior High School teacher at Sampaguita High School, disclosed that she has received “Perfect Attendance Award” for the school year 2024-2025.
Her post reads: “I am proud to share that I have achieved perfect attendance as a DepEd teacher, with a record of 173 out of 173 days present S.Y. 2024-2025.”

The 33-year-old Science teacher further disclosed that she has been receiving the same recognition since 2018.
Adding that the milestone – referring to the award – is a testament to her strong sense of responsibility and love for role as educator.
“This accomplishment reflects my unwavering commitment, dedication, and passion for teaching and serving my students. Despite the challenges and demands of the profession, I have consistently shown up ready to teach, inspire, and make a difference every single day,” part of her FB post reads.
How to Have Perfect Attendance as Teacher
The work of an educator could be described as a tough one – having lots of responsibilities at hand. To say that teachers raise children to be responsible citizens, who would become the hope of the motherland.
That is, aside from the at six hours of prescribed regular teaching; there’s lesson plan and materials preparation, coordinatorships, co-curricular activities, and many more.
Hence, it is imperative for every educator to balance work and their health.
It is highly advisable for teachers to:
- Stay organized with their schedule and records, to meet the demand of their work more effectively and efficiently.
- Prioritize their health thru proper nutrition, regular exercise, and adequate sleep.
- Have a positive and uplifting mindset to do the work efficiently and maintain an admirable collaborative work with fellow teachers and students.
Mabelle on Teachers Important Responsibilities
In an interview with Balita, the schoolteacher said she believes that being present is one of the most important responsibilities of the school; the reason why she always aim for a perfect attendance.
She said, “Our students rely on us every day not just to teach, but to guide, support, and inspire them. I want to be there for them consistently.”

Discipline, passion, and strong sense of purpose, she stated is what makes her choose to always attend school amidst the challenging teaching work.
“I also remind myself daily that teaching is not just a job, but a commitment I chose wholeheartedly.”
Finding “why” she said, referring to remembering one’s purpose and the impact you makes her show up everyday.
“Every day in school is a chance to make a difference, don’t miss it.”
